The premier horse racing event held at the Mahalaxmi race course on February 4 (Sunday) was hosted by the Bollywood Actor & Anchor Uday Rajveer Singhh. His infectious energy added another level of charm to the 82nd edition of the Indian Derby, sponsored by Horse Power Sports league (HPSL). Uday has recently acted in Mr. Manishankar’s film ‘Hey Kamini’ which is streaming on Jio Cinema. Also his upcoming Telegu film named ‘Daas’ is quite popular among the Telugu audience. Recently he has hosted a celebrity chat show called ‘Meter chalu’ which will be soon on air. The event was lit up by the presence of celebrities like Bhumika Chawla, Krutikaa Sawant, Roshan Shetty (Author), Habib Mithiborwala, Big boss fame Lopa Mudra and many more.
The Derby attracted 14 horses competing for a prize money of ₹2 crore.
Suresh Paladugu, chairman and managing director of HPSL, has a vision of redefining the horse and human bond. The HPSL introduced innovative leagues, representing teams based on seven languages — Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, and Rajasthani. This is an initiative to blend sports, entertainment, and lifestyle to attract a broader audience to the sport.
Mr. Paladugu mentioned that they are actively working on the plan to make it big and will unveil it very soon.
