In today’s faster life everyone active on social media. All information we can get on social media platforms. Everyone just swiping but when they see something good they like and share the content. Many people grow too fast with the help of social media. People only followed people who do something different on these platforms. I chose social media platforms to share my ideas, grow myself. Sharing stories, posts related to different niches helps me to grow fast and maintain bonds with my followers.
Tell us about your background and journey
I belong to a middle-class family and living in a village in district Fazilka, Punjab. In starting I had no idea about social media and all. I went for my graduation to Jalandhar in 2014 and then Chandigarh in 2016. During graduation, I get to know about social media. I used Facebook and then Instagram. But still, I had no idea about influencing. I was just a simple regular user of Instagram and Facebook. My nature was very shy so I didn’t share too many pictures and videos on social media. In 2018 after completing my graduation I started my post-graduation and then I get to know about influencing. I saw many influencers on Instagram. At that time I had 14 k followers on my account but I was just posting my pictures. My account wasn’t growing at that time and I wasn’t active too much due to study. In 2020 lockdown due to corona, I got free time to work on this and after contacting some brands I got a collab. So from that day, I’m working on this, and many people like the content.
Which thing hit you hard to start influencing and become a youth icon
During my graduation, I had no sense of fashion. I was a low personality guy. Sometimes people make a joke of you and that thing can change your mindset and personality. I also faced the time when people laughed at me. So in that time only two things can happen, you will be broken or you move on but I choose none of these. I worked on myself every single day. It took a lot of time to stand against all. I was shy so firstly I worked on this. Self-confidence is very important in every field. I developed my personality, fashion skills, communication skills. I worked on every point and still working to improve more.
Who helped you or address you to do influencing
No one… hahaha… I know this sounds rude but really I didn’t follow anyone. I got to know about influencing by saw others but that’s it. I work on my content alone. From ideas to creating content and then finalizing the content, I do it all myself. I don’t have any mentors and any agency that worked with me. I started working alone and still working alone. I’m just connected with my followers. If they give some advice on anything I worked on that.
Is growing fast and becoming popular day by day, affects you
Yes, it affects me but not in my behavior. I changed myself only one time and it worked for me. From that time I changed my behavior, attitude and it remained the same. I said yes its affects me because when we grow more we interact with more people and they follow us because they liked our content, thoughts. They will appreciate you. But they will hope to see more good content every time and its create pressure on the creator. Yeah, it means I feel pressurised because so many people are following you and you have to give your best. So to handle that pressure it’s good to accept the fact that you are not perfect, Just give your best.
What about Your future plans, projects and are you going to work on songs or movies?
I will be working only on Instagram because I’m not a model and not doing modeling. I’m just an influencer who promotes brands and their products. Actually, brands and creators work for each other. They help each other to grow more. So in the future, I’m only looking to work with good brands.
