India got to win the Gold and Silver medals in the Javelin throw competition at the Asian Games 2023. While Neeraj Chopra clinched Gold with a throw of 88.88 metres, Kishore Jena bagged silver medal with throw of 87.54 metres. This was Jena’s personal best throw. With this, India’s medal tally has gone up to 80 with 17 Gold, 31 Silver and 32 Bronze.
