The Rise of Online Education in Covid-19

December 2019 saw an outbreak of a deadly virus which soon became a pandemic. Labelled as coronavirus disease (covid-19) by the world health organization, the virus that initially originated in Wuhan was now spreading across the globe.
Covid-19 appeared in the patients as a regular fever, tiredness and loss of taste and smell, accompanied by heavy coughing. It spread through the air containing the virus particles where the infected patient might have sneezed or coughed. Social contact came out as the primary cause of the spread of covid-19, also the reason why it was spreading rapidly across the world.

Social Distancing and the need for Online Education

Taking a preventive measure on this serious outlook, the world health organization declared a global emergency and proposed social distancing as a necessary step to avoid contact with the virus particles.
While social distancing and lockdown were the only suitable options to avoid the spread of this fatal disease, almost all fields of work had been drastically affected by this. Schools, offices, universities and markets were completely shut down. No one had an idea as to when the pandemic will end and things would get back to normal. This necessitated the adoption of digitalization and soon all the processes, including tradition education were shifted on online education.
